This still gives me goosebumps: Wimbledon Final 2008 Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal. Watch some superb highlights of what I would call the best tennis match of all time.
Aiden (aka Bob) and I had a tennis session on Saturday. It was almost too hot to play but he hit some decent shots. Lenah also came by to say hi, looking beautiful and tennis Summery in a white dress.
And on Sunday we were walking the streets of Valletta and stumbled upon this declaration of love for Roger Federer covering a MEPA application. Nice to see fans of the Fed Express in full force also in Malta!
I still have a hard time to believe that I was only a few meters away from the great Fed Express when he rolled over Ivan Ljubicic in straight sets in the Stockholm Open semi-final. I am still star struck from the experience. I am still thinking it didn’t really happen. But it did and it was magical.
Roger Federer and Stefan Edberg practising together before Fed’s Stockholm Open quarterfinal. Tomorrow I will be in Stockholm to watch him play. I am giddy like a little girl…¨ (Image from Bildbyrån)
When you pass the world number four with a shot between your legs and by so doing bring up three match points and then win in three straight sets to get to your 17th slam final, then you are the greatest tennis player of all time. Then you are Roger Federer. And then you deserve your 16th slam title. Good luck in the final, Rog.
Roger Federer is the reason I started playing tennis again and for that I am so grateful I owe him my full support. Just the stylish way he plays; the liquid whip of a forehand, the cat-like movement, summing up a gracefulness never seen in a tennis player before.
